In 2017, Siddharth Angrish ( Student of IIT Roorkee , MS in computer science from John Hopkins ) employed at Apple California, left his job and came to India with the vision of bringing revolution and providing solution to the issue faced in rural India i.e. lack of healthcare facilities and providers.(1)

With the support of Jahid Ali and Meghna, Siddharth’s vision came into reality.(1)

Transformation in the rural healthcare system began in January 2019, where Jiyyo’s TeleHealth Platform was launched and the 1st ‘Jiyyo E clinic’ was established at Konch , Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh. Thus the revolution started.(1)

Was there any need to establish ‘Jiyyo’ and help transform rural healthcare?

The Rural-Urban population in India is 68.2% – 31.8% , which means out of total India’s population two-third resides in rural areas. But the exact opposite is the ratio of doctors serving rural India (34%). Thus this is resulting in the collapse of the Healthcare system in rural India.This issue was addressed by Siddharth Angrish and provided a solution in the form of ‘Jiyyo’.(4,5)

Jiyyo E clinics are digital clinics which are AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled. The healthcare partners in rural areas can get instantly in touch with the doctors working at Apollo , AIIMS , PGI ,etc and with their help/guidance, appropriate and prompt healthcare services are provided to the patients. This is contributing to reducing the mortality & morbidity rates in rural areas.(2)

When a patient visits the Jiyyo E Clinic with any disease condition, and wants to get consultation from the Jiyyo’s Urban Healthcare partner, then they can connect through the software provided to the rural healthcare partner by ‘Jiyyo’ or directly through mobile application.(2)

The rural doctor becomes the medium of contact between the patient and urban doctor. The rural doctor diagnoses the patient and provides all the important disease information of the patient to the urban doctor.(2)

The Urban doctor who is miles away, with the help from the rural doctor can manage the patient and provide effective treatment as needed.(2)
